The moggy has been in a barn for 25 years. Having looked at quite a few over a period of months, I went one sunday morning to a farm just outside of Portsmouth to have a look at the one in the photo's.

One of the biggest problems with these cars is rust to the chassis legs and cross members. This was the main reason I had looked at so many. A rebuild is one thing, replacing floors and chassis legs is just to much hard work.

Walking into the barn and seeing the car for the first time my face started to grin of it's own accord. The car was on it's side and the underneath - which was the only bit I could see was in mint condition.

When the car was being rebuilt 25 years ago, all the sills, chassis legs and floors had been replaced and then painted with the same paint they use for bridges. 25 years rust free guarantee. Obviously that has now passed but the paint is as good now as it was then.

There is no engine - no interior and after yesterday no glass.

The car is going to be soda blasted and I will put up photo's when completed.
